You may experiement with morning and evening sessions to see what suits you best. If you are wanting to focus on dreamwork and receiving messages, before bed is a great idea. If you are wanting to enhance creativity, sensitivity, or are on a healing journey, morning may be more suitable. You can sit with her and ask her! She is known for having a playful and talkative personality, she usually is quite clear on how she wants to work once you begin to bridge the connection.

Bobinsana

Bobinsana is a small & powerful tree native to the Amazon basin. She is known for her highly feminine, joyful, and eccentric personality, which is outwardly expressed through her vibrant & neon-pink pom-pom flowers that smell absolutely divine.

Bobinsana is happy growing by the river's edge and loves water, therefore she is associated with mermaids and water spirits and is a powerful connector to the water realms. This also reflects how she works on the human body and our internal waters, she connects us to our hearts, emotions, and for women, the womb.

She is a powerful ally in moving through grief, healing the heart, cultivating self love, and activating our creativity and voice. She shows us our blind spots and where our growth edges are, encouraging us to feel our emotions, blockages, and pain in order to find the courage to move forth into courageous creativity and self admiration. Although she is a very loving plant, she can also be a stern teacher, she is the sister-friend who gives you tough love because she wants you to be your most empowered, free, true self.

Bobinsana is a powerful herb for visionary dreaming, one of the ways she teaches is through her vivid dreamscapes where she offers healing through the subconscious realms.

Bobinsana is traditionally one of the first herbs a person embarking on the shamanic path of dieting Master Plants in the Amazon will begin with. She is a wonderful first herb because she is a loving and powerful initiatress that helps us to see our hidden layers, cultivate more love, & connect with the spirit world, while also offering protection. Although a dieta with her can be challenging, it is usually very eye opening, beautiful, and healing, without some of the heavier contradictions that come with more intensive Amazonian master plants.

What is a master plant dieta?

*A Master Plant Dieta is the process of consuming and energetically sitting with the plant you are dieting while in isolation from others. During this time a dietero will be on a strict diet of no salt, sugar, fats, & processed foods, practicing celibacy, and being mindful of what is being consumed. When dieting in the rainforest you typically reside in a tambo (jungle hut) away from others. If you are on a "social" dieta, you may be out of the jungle and continuing your work and life, but practicing all the necessary restrictions and isolating as much as possible. These necessary restrictions demonstrate to the plant that you are willing to show up to receive its healing and teachings & allow the potency of the plant's energy to be felt with less distractions. If a dietero breaks these agreements while on the diet, there can be serious consequences. A Master Plant is officially opened and closed by a practiced curandero or vegetalista (medicine man or woman who is well-trained in these traditions) through song, ceremony or prayer, often in conjunction with or while sitting with Amazonian grandmother medicine.

A dieta can range from days to multiple weeks, months or even years with one Master Plant. Diets are given to those who wish to receive the healing benefits of the plant, physically, energetically and spiritually, and sometimes are shorter to introduce a connection. Longer diets tend to be for those who are on the path of curanderismo and are apprenticing to understand the world of the plants and grandmother medicine. Dieting is a challenging and beautiful practice that is not to be taken lightly.*
